The legends!
We are very happy to have three of the most legendary snowboarders in the world here at The Oakley Arctic Challenge!
Besides the owner of the event, Terje Haakonsen, Jamie Lynn and Ingemar Backman is visiting TAC this year – a huge inspiration for everyone! These two guys, or legends as we call them, have been pioneers in the sport.
Ingemar is back again, and we are very happy for that! Not only beause he took the first world record in 1996, but also because he brings so much inspiration to the people around him. Seeing him up in the QP is a huge inspiration for the riders.
Besides snowboarding, Backman is the co-founder of the clothing line We and runs the snowboard company Allian.
Lately, Backman has taken a break from snowboarding and instead devoted himself to poker.
We are proud to have Ingemar back in Norway!!

Jamie Lynn is an enigma. His feats in snowboarding have made him living legend. Like the tattoos that cover most of his body, his accomplishments on the mountain, in the park and in the air, have left a permanent and colorful mark on the sport. His trademark backside airs, jaw-droppingly huge spins and his fluid style have defined him as an exceptional athlete in the global snowboard arena. But above all, he is a solid character who has much more to offer the world than his snowboarding exploits. He is a gifted artist, an amazing musician, ripping surfer and skater, a trusting friend to many and a hero among his peers. Unlike many who have defined their sport, Jamie transcends stereotypes and is full of surprises that leave us wondering, ‘what will he do next’?
